Jummie. I found this one while I was making some banana bacon. I used that same marinade for the tofu so no liquid smoke but I added a bit more smoker paprika and that worked nicely.
The trick is to slice the tofu as thin as possible. The thinner slices have a very nice crispy texture but too thick of a slice and it's just a slice of nicely baked tofu. I can't wait to put these as a side dish on my snack buffet next week.

Great recipe and my basic go to for homemade treats. I have subbed baked sweet potatoes, or fresh blended apples if I’m out of bananas. I pat my dough out in a pan and score it before baking. These are the treats that both my dogs prefer. Lily, my 10 year old golden, Luis, my 6 year old bully mix rescue and I thank you!

Simply the BEST! I used to buy vegan roasts for our holiday meals, but they are expensive and be can hard to find, plus have some not so great additives. This year for Christmas I made 2 of these roasts and they were simply the BEST! I make a lot of the faux meat recipes for my protein-obsessed family and this is our new family favorite. The texture is so tender and the flavor is amazing. This will be our new holiday tradition!

I served it with Sam’s mushroom gravy, also delicious!

This website is usually my go-to when I’m looking for a recipe for something, but I wrote off this particular recipe for a long time because I always felt that yeasted cinnamon were far superior to non-yeasted, and that it wasn’t even worth trying a non-yeasted recipe. I saw the positive reviews, but figured those people and I must have different opinions on what makes a good cinnamon roll. I am here to say I WAS WRONG! I finally tried this recipe in a fit of desperate rage when it became clear that a batch of yeasted rolls I had already spent several hours working on were not going to turn out right. I had this dough made, rolled out, rolled up, and ready to bake in the amount of time that the sad yeasted rolls spent in the oven baking. These rolls did not disappoint in any way. They are just as good as any yeasted roll I’ve had, plus they are far easier, simpler, and quicker to make. They are perfectly fluffy with a satisfying density, and the right amount of definition. They might not have quite the same level of chewiness a kneaded yeasted roll might have, but it’s not to the point that it feels like something is missing or lacking. If I are one of these not knowing the recipe, I honestly am not sure if I’d even notice or suspect they weren’t yeasted. These are now going to be my go-to cinnamon rolls. I highly encourage anyone that is skeptical of a non-yeasted cinnamon roll recipe to give this one a try.

Please don't laugh but i do enjoy a really good fruitcake - w/ dried fruit and not candied - but haven't had one in a long time since there aren't many good vegan ones out there. In reply to Sandra. This recipe is intended to a be a healthier alternative, but you can definitely add oil or vegan butter. My mom likes to dollop vegan butter throughout the scalloped potatoes as she layers them, for my tastes this is too rich, but could certainly try that too. Glad you like the cheesiness!

In reply to Stephanie Mahler. Hi Stephanie, yes that vegan butter might not be the best for baking, I have never tested it so I can't say for sure. I used Earth Balance Buttery Spread Original (I included this info in the recipe too). If you give it another try I hope it turns out better for you with Earth Balance. :)
