Got a feel-it-in-your-soul craving for something sugary sweet and melt in your mouth delicious? These easy vegan glazed donuts are just the treat you need! They go perfectly with your morning coffee or will satisfy that late-night craving. But it gets even better... this vegan donuts recipe requires only 10 ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboards and it takes less than 30 minutes to prepare! A fresh pan of warm, soft, scrumptious, glazed donuts is just a couple of minutes away. Isn't being vegan amazing???

So fluffy and light yet decadent and sweet, Easy Vegan Glazed Donuts are just 10 ingredients and take less than 30 minutes to make. These sugary flavour bombs are an explosion of sweet, melt in your mouth deliciousness with every bite that will have you reaching for another one before you're done your first!

For these easy vegan glazed donuts, I was inspired by the classic, old-fashioned Krispy Kreme donut. My version is not only 100% vegan, but my sweet little flavour bombs are BAKED instead of deep-fried! This makes them not only easy and safe to prepare at home, but they turn out so perfectly fluffy, light, and undeniably scrumptious - each bite is a flavour explosion that will have you reaching for another donut before you're done your first.

I'm excited to add this classic donut to my donut recipe collection along with my Vegan Powdered Donuts,  Vegan Double Chocolate Donuts, and my Classic Vegan Chocolate Glazed Donuts!  Here's a fun idea: why not bake up a batch of each kind, throw them in a box, and gift your favourite person (or yourself!) with a homemade baker's dozen box of homemade vegan donuts!!

How to make easy vegan glazed donuts:

Whisk ingredients in a large bowl

In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir everything until combined

In a medium bowl mix together all the wet ingredients. Now add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not over mix, lumps are totally cool.

Pipe the batter into a donut pan

Scoop the batter into a large ziplock bag and cut the corner off of the bag, or use a reusable pastry bag. Pipe the batter into the donut pan, dividing it evenly among the 6 donuts wells.

    Bake for 10-15 minutes

Bake for 10 - 14 minutes until the donuts have fluffed up and are no longer wet-looking. Take out of the oven and cool for 5 minutes before removing them from the pan. Place the donuts on a wire rack that is on top of a baking tray or plate.

Dip both sides of the baked donuts into the glaze and let them drain off

To make the glaze, in a medium bowl, whisk the powdered sugar with 3 tablespoons of plant-based milk. If needed add 1 - 2 more tablespoons of plant-based milk to reach the desired consistency (4 tablespoons of plant-based milk was perfect for me). Dip a donut into the glaze, carefully flipping it so that both sides are glazed. Let drain off then place the glazed donut onto the wire rack with the baking tray underneath to catch excess glaze. Repeat with the remaining donuts. Let the glaze set for about 30 minutes before enjoying.

So now that you know what to do - let's get to making some Easy Vegan Glazed Donuts!! Trust me, you will not regret this decision! Easy Vegan Glazed Donuts go perfectly with your morning coffee or tea, or as a dessert after your favourite meal, or as a cheeky little snack when you're craving a little sugar kick!  The options are endless!!

    Bon appetegan!

Hi Sam, I just tried these, and while they are delicious, the consistency is that of cupcakes.....am I missing something?

Do you wait for the donuts to completely cool before glazing?

Does the trans fat come from the vegan butter?
